As Christians prepare to celebrate the resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Iteso have been urged to celebrate Easter with care and make friends with enemies.
While congratulating Christians for coming to the end of the Lenten Season, Helen Adoa Abeku the Serere District Women MP asked the People of Teso to celebrate wisely.
She said that, this is the time to set free those we have been holding in our hearts and love our neighbors as the Holy Bible commands, asking heads of families to use this time to share love and joy with their families.
Adoa also reminded Politicians to use the festivity forgive their political opponents.
However, on the other hand, she urged the people to gad security of their property collectively.
Meanwhile, Over 70 infants and adults have today been initiated into the Christian life through baptism at St Peters cathedral church of Uganda Soroti diocese.
While giving a sermon after the baptism, Rev. Canon Abraham Eruku the sub dean St Peters called on the parents and God parents to teach the young ones to follow the right path of God.According to Rev. Eruku baptism is a way of removing the inherited sin from the parents during the time of birth and it is very important the Christians value it.
He added teaching the children the Lord’s Prayer, teaching them the Ten Commandments, and the Christian values will help them grow in faith. Over 40 infants were also baptized at St Paul parish Church of Uganda Moruapesur in Soroti municipality
